Now, Walt Disney World News Today is reporting that the ride has been permanently closed. Earlier year, the ride closed for refurbishment. Even though fans loved the characters (there is even a live-action movie on the agenda), the ride itself was just a little disappointing. Located in the Tomorrowland area, Stitch’s Great Escape never really resonated with many theme park guests. One spot in particular is the now-defunct Stitch’s Great Escape.

While fans eagerly await the new Tron ride, Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Epcot and several other additions and changes, a few now-empty spaces have left fans wondering. In anticipation of the Disney World’s big 50th-anniversary celebration in 2021, numerous additions and changes are coming to the various Orlando, Florida, Disney theme parks. While Disney has been vocal about some of these upcoming changes, one currently dark ride location has a veil of secrecy about it. From refurbishments to Tom Sawyer to a reconfiguration of the Tomorrowland Speedway, several changes are coming to the Disney theme park.
